NATIONAL YC THURDAY FEB 8TH

Damian Foxall is due to speak in the National Yacht Club at 19.30 on Thurs 8th February.
Come along and show your support for one of Ireland's biggest sailing hero!

Kerryman Damian Foxall, Ireland's top international sailor, has joined French sailor Jean-Pierre Dick to sail around the world together in the double -handed non-stop Barcelona World Race. Organised by OC Events, part of Dame Ellen MacArthur's company OC GRoup, the race will leave Barcelona on 11th November 2007. For more info take a look at:

Damian,37, has sailed over 275,000 miles, has 17 trans-Atlantic voyages and six round-the-world yacht races including several Volvo Ocean Races and several Jules Verne record attempts under his belt.He'll be in Ireland between 2-8th February and then back for the 12-14 Feb to attend the Dublin Boat Show where he plans to announce his own next major sailing goal for 2008, which,if he succeeds in will be a first for Ireland. After leaving Dublin, Damian will fly to New Zealand where Jean-Pierre Dick's boat, Paprec-Virbac will be put into the water beforte they sail her back to Europe.
