GREEN DRAGON AT THE GALWAY ATLANTAQUARIUM
Green Dragon at the Galway Atlantaquarium
Green Dragon arrived in Galway last week and is now in situ in her new home at the Galway Atlantaquaria in Salthill. From 25 July until end August visitors to Galway will have the unique opportunity of visiting Green Dragon on 'dry land' and viewing the sparse conditions that the crew endured.
Green Dragon sailed 37000nm around the world in the Volvo Ocean Race and was one of only 4 boats to complete all legs of the race. In addition she achieved 3 podium places and won the hearts and minds of supporters around the world where the popular refrain 'Go the Dragon' could be heard in many languages. In addition she achieved extensive global media coverage for all its sponsors but most importantly for www.discoverireland.com and Galway.
Green Dragon will form part of the Galway Atlantaquaria visitor experience and is presented by Let’s Do it Galway in conjunction with the Galway Atlantaquaria, Fáilte Ireland and Galway City Council .
