SAIL THE WORLD WEEKEND

Thank you to everyone so far who has sent in their reports on the weekend. So far we have stories from Bray Sailing Club to the Cruising Association telling us about their experience on the water.

We are still gathering names of people who participated in Sail the World weekend so hurry up and send in your name if you were on the water Sat Sept 1st or Sunday Sept 2nd.

We want to see how many people Ireland got on the water. Already our total is up to 591 people who have registered with us. Email your name/s to info@sailing.ie

With so many people on the water every week we want to find out how many people Ireland can get on the water in one weekend. Let us know if you plan to get out on the water on September 1st and 2nd and how many people you will bring along with you. Make this a  weekend to remember!

Clubs and Classes around the country have made plans which you can be part of. Alternatively why not bring a friend out on your own boat and let us know that you are on the water.

1st & 2nd September is SAIL THE WORLD WEEKEND is the perfect opportunity to promote sailing on the local, national & international stage.

SAIL THE WORLD is a global weekend of sailing and part of the ISAF Centenary Celebrations.  Here in Ireland the ISA and you have the opportunity to promote our sport as we aim to get as many people on the water as possible over the one weekend.

JOIN THE INTERNATIONAL CREW!

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN IRELAND GET ON THE WATER THIS WEEKEND?
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOUR CLUB GET ON THE WATER?

If your club is already running an event then register it as a SAIL THE WORLD activity by emailing andrea@sailng.ie – it’s as simple as that.

Why not use this weekend to promote your club! The ISA have lots of ideas for activities on the event website www.sailing.ie/sailworld and aims to promote all who join the crew! Make this weekend work for you!
