Brian Carlin - Film and Photography was established in 2010 by photographer Brian Carlin.
Brian has grown up sailing, starting at the early age of 9 at Tralee Bay Sailing Club. He started in Mirror’s and ended his days in a Laser before progressing into the keelboat classes.
It was when Brian went to college in Waterford (2002) he discovered the possibilities of DSLR photography, with his first obsession with long exposures. This was where he married his favorite sport with photography to bring you what you see today.
Brian has lots of experience with some of the top names in sailing and was just lately appointed the official photographer for team “Aleph” the French challenger to the 34th America’s Cup. In September ’11 he was shooting for the team at America’s Cup World Series in Plymouth.
Brian also developed a video coverage element for many sailing events this year most notably the ISAF Team Racing Worlds where he was tasked to deliver daily video highlights for the duration of the event.
