As secretary of NEPRC, Geraldine has been a key contributor to the establishment of the club. She has actively promoted the sport of powerboat racing in Northen Ireland and has been instrumental in the organisation of any event she has been involved with as well as supporting other clubs in their activities. |

: Fireball Class Association of Ireland
For 18 months prior to the 2011 Fireball Worlds in Sligo, Louis coordinated the interests of all stakeholders in the event which included liaising with all parties to personally transporting boats from the UK. His vast knowledge of the class and its events, he’s only missed one Fireball Worlds in 20 years, was instrumental in its success. |

Name: Michael McCarney

: Lough Derg Yacht Club
As sailing secretary for LDYC, Michael has introduced many exciting new ventures. A record 10 outside events were held in the club in 2011 including his own brainchild, the Dromineer 24 hour race. He also encouraged the introduction of young sailors to Shannon One Designs and initiated a series of training courses to up skill the club’s volunteers. |

: Irish Cruising Club
Norman is the honorary editor of the Irish Cruising Club’s ‘Sailing Directions’, co-author of the new not for profit publication ‘Cruising Ireland’ and is currently compiling a Coastal Atlas of Recreational Boating for Ireland. His time is spent surveying, photographing and researching Ireland’s coast, a task that will undoubtedly benefit all users of our coastal waters. |
