Adam originally learned to sail in Skerries Sailing Club but furthered his trained in Colaiste Dhulaigh where he completed a diploma in Outdoor Adventure Management in 2009. It was here that he acquired many of the skills and attributes of a quality instructor, and not long after he qualified as an ISA Emergency Care Instructor. Adam worked tirelessly to improve sail training in Skerries Sailing Club over the 2011 season and his efforts have not gone unnoticed.

: Rusheen Bay Windsurfing
Daniel has been an ISA Windsurfing Instructor since 2002 and has been instructing both adult and junior windsurfers in Rusheen Bay, Galway. A keen windsurfer, his passion and enthusiasm for introducing newcomers to the sport has been described as “infectious”. Daniel provides a constant source of ideas on how to improve and develop the school further as well as ensuring its future is in good hands.

: National Yacht Club
Katie started her instructor training in 2006, completing her Dinghy Instructor course in Cobh. Following a season in Howth Yacht Club during the summer of 2007, she went on to complete her Racing Instructor endorsement. Once qualified, she began working in the National Yacht Club where she has worked as a Racing instructor, and then Senior Instructor for four years. Katie qualified as a Level 2 Coach and in 2011 and finished her second year as the IODAI Regatta Fleet Head Coach.
 
Name: Rachel Hoolahan

: Greystones Sailing Club
Rachel began instructing in Greystones Sailing Club in 2008. Other than instructing and partaking in regular Saturday and Wednesday club racing, she took part in the Greystones Annual Ladies Regatta taking second place, head to toe pink. Rachel’s instructing abilities, on and off the water, are second to none. Described as having a “cheerful disposition”, “pleasant personality” and “an ability to motivate children and teenagers alike”, Rachel has many qualities that set her apart from her peers.

Organisation
: Galway Bay Sailing Club
Having studied Outdoor Adventure Management in Colaiste Dhulaigh, Thomas further progressed his training and instructor skills at Glenans Irish Sailing Club. For the past eight years he has worked as Instructor and Senior Instructor and has taught many people how to sail. Currently he is working at Galway Bay Sailing Club as Training Centre Manager and is continuously striving to develop and improve their training program each season.
