Mechanical failure is one of the main reasons sailors and motorboaters call for assistance. 

The ISA Basic Marine Engine Course will;
- Develop your awareness and understanding of the different types of commonly used marine engines and propulsion systems.
- Show you how to undertake simple measures to prevent mechanical breakdown afloat and to identify and resolve common faults that do not require workshop support.

This course is being piloted over summer 2011 by a limited number of ISA Training Centres.  Full implementation, including Instructor Training will occur in October 2011.
