Congratulations to Martin Byrne and his crew of Pedro Andrade and Adam Winklemann sailing Jaguar who were declared 2011 Dragon Open British Champions and winners of the historic Edinburgh Cup.

Martin had this to say following his achievement. "This was a very special result for Adam, Pedro & I as it was a long time ambition of ours to take this trophy sometime soon.  Little did we know that we would do it at our first attempt and in such a dramatic fashion."

"This was another historic win for the Irish Dragon Class internationally and for Irish sailing in general in a very competitive and professional fleet.  It’s not often that we can actually celebrate a WIN as distinct from just another good result."
