Sam Hunt and the Gladiators team are into the quarter finals of the ISAF Nations Cup, Europe II Regional Final in Gdynia Poland. Ireland’s only entry have just completed their first stage of the series. After beating the British team of Andy Shaw it gives Sam three wins in the first round.
The final, knock out, stage begins on Saturday morning.

Sam Hunt from Kinsale will lead the Gladiators Match Race Team to compete for Ireland in the Open division of the ISAF Nations Cup Europe II Regional Final in Gdynia, Poland which begins this Thursday the 21st of July. The Gladiators team comprises of Helm Sam Hunt, Main Paddy Blackley, Trim Peter Bayly and Bow Richard Murphy who all regularly sail from Kinsale Yacht Club and the Royal St. George Yacht Club. 

Sam Hunt has extensive match race experience having finished in third place at the ISA Match Race Championship and scoring highly in the 2011 Irish Match Race Tour. He is currently placed 397 in the ISAF World Match Race Open Rankings. Having finished on the podium in their Irish Tour Events the team have a wealth of experience in team racing, dinghy racing and keelboats with numerous championship wins between them. The team have been working hard the last few months, training regularly in the ISA SailFleet J80's and undergoing rules training.
