The ISA's Women on the Water Ireland events this year have been a great success nationally. Events range from training programmes, ladies helms, regattas or just plain fun ladies days and the aim of each one is to either celebrate ladies sailing or encourage more women to "Get on Board".
There have been 18 WOWI registered events throughout Ireland so far and more are registered for September and October. Is your club or centre planning a WOWI event? Did you have a fun WOWI day and now looking to take those ladies to the next step of sailing coaching or helming?
The overall aim of WOWI is to encourage more ladies to experience the joy of sailing and in turn develop opportunities for training, crewing, helming and competing. Contact Gail
to discuss further development for your Women on the Water.
The sponsorship from Buffera of ladies neck Buffs has been super and we have few parcels left to send out to new events, so if you are planning a WOWI event, please register here now on our simple online form
and will not only help you promote it on our web and social media, but also get a bundle of goodies sent out.
Linking with Action Breast Cancer is a great way to drum up interest in your event and raise funds for good cause, or you could choose a different charity of your choice - the local Search and Rescue crew or raising funds for the club itself perhaps.
