Courtown Sailing Club's annual Lady Skipper's Race inspired 9 boats and 20 ladies (plus a few brave men) to take to the water on a sunny afternoon in Wexford. Competition was tight - the ladies showing a passion and style for skippering that confounded many of the regular skippers.
Pink was the theme of the day, and skippers and crew took full advantage - although it was discovered the that fairy wings are not the easiest piece of equipment to work with on a boat! A big thanks to Gail and the ISA for their support and a special thanks to Buff for the great prizes - a much more practical item of equipment than fairy wings!
A lot of laughter and fun was had by all, and the following week the skippers had a battle to regain their helm!
Congratulations to the winners Aoife O'Sullivan (Class 2) and Muirreann Kelly (Class 1).
