Many a cruising sailor regularly asks when the County Council big yellow visitors moorings were last serviced and "Are they safe?". These moorings run along our western coastline from County Cork to County Donegal and provide secure berths for visiting yachts throughout the year.
The Regional Development Officers contact the County Engineers each year to find out the latest service details and check on their coastal infrastructural development plans. Up to now this information has been updated on a standard web page within the sailing.ie cruising section - www.sailing.ie/cruising
. The moorings page is now a PDF, so you can print or download it easily and have on board to help with your cruising plans. Go direct to the Cork County Council Visitors Moorings pdf page
If you are a cruising sailor and have any new information about the County Council visitors moorings or know of other serviced moorings cruising sailors may like to utilise, please send on details to firstname.lastname@example.org
