David Kenefick has finished Leg 1 of the La Solitaire du Figaro yesterday in 28th position. He was two hours and forty minutes behind the leader Alexis Loison after just over three days at sea.
David commented "I’m pretty happy and I have to say I enjoyed being in the front for a while. It was a new experience for me and I learnt from it just how good you have to be to stay here all the time."
Leg 2 will bring the Corkonian back to familiar waters as he rounds the Fastnet. The Plymouth to Roscoff via the Fastnet Leg will depart on Saturday the 14th of June intending on arriving on the 17th or 18th after a distance of 535 nautical miles (983 kms).
