Howth Yacht Club is delighted to host the inaugural Sportsboat Cup from the 20th - 22nd June 2014. Join them for three days of fantastic racing in the idyllic waters off Ireland's Eye and our bustling fishing village.

The regatta is open to 1720s, SB20s, Quarter Tonners, J24s, RS Elites, Dragons and Sailfleet J80s. J70s, class J80s and any other sportsboat that has an IRC cert will be accommodated in a mixed sportsboat fleet. The event will incorporate the 1720 Europeans so we will be welcoming crews from the UK and beyond to our waters.

At this multiclass event each class will be given their own start, results and prizes. Class rules will apply where applicable.

Those new to Howth will find that they have fantastic sailing facilities both on the water and ashore. With two cranes, 300 berth marina, sizeable hardstanding, a large club house with excellent bar, terrace and dining facilities not to mention secure changing and showering facilities with free car parking  HYC is ideally placed to host this Sportsboat Cup. Craning, berthing and trailer storage are all included in the entry fee and racing will be organised by top National and International Race Officers so there is every reason to get involved in this new and exciting event.

With no racing starting before 12 each day there will be ample time to freshen up in the morning after the great social that is planned for each evening. Let's not forget that it will be midsummers day during the regatta so we can make the most of long sunlight hours.
