All owners of boats which were rated under ECHO & IRC in 2013 have been sent revalidation packs, including the 2014 IRC Yearbook for IRC boats, by post. ECHO & IRC Revalidations can be done as usual through the ISA’s online shop at where savings of up to €30 can be made.

If any changes have been made to the rated measurements or configuration, or any changes which might be relevant or affect the performance of the boat, since the last valid certificate, these can be incorporated into the 2014 cert at no charge provided the changes are declared. If the last certificate was Endorsed then new data must be officially measured / weighed to retain this status, please contact the ISA Racing Office for advice.

If you have bought new sails since your last valid certificate or if you have them on order, and you need an Endorsed certificate, we will need the sail data even if it is the same as before, either IHC input or measured. Please ask the sailmaker to send the measurements to the ISA.

Owners should note that if a boat is fitted with, or carrying on board, systems to adjust the Mast Foot or Forestay these must be now be declared.

If there are any changes, please tell us now to avoid an amendment fee!

Boats which last had an IRC in 2011 or before, or have never held an IRC, must complete the IRC New Application Form and sent it by email to the ISA Racing Office.

Delivery of 2014 ECHO Standards will take up to 10 working days by post and IRC Ratings will take up to 20 working days by email from receipt here. We do endeavour to deliver all certificates as soon as possible. As ratings and standards are issued they will be published in the live list of valid ECHO Standards and IRC TCC Ratings as issued to boats by the ISA Racing Dept. This is now available for race organisers and sailors to view.

If you have any questions about the rating systems please contact the ISA Racing Office for advice.
