With the last event of the IWA Wave Series cancelled (a good call by bigsurf.ie judging by what the weather produced for the weekend) the overall results for the year are now available on the IWA website, with three rounds completed and one discard. Congratulations to Rob Jones, Katie McAnena and Duncan Knox for claiming the Gold, Ladies and Silver titles respectively. Thanks to all the event organisers, sponsors, judges, helpers and all who took part for making the 2013 windsurfing season a success.

The first round was held in Fanore, Co. Clare on April 20th. Organised by Paul Reid, it was a one day event with cross-on 12/15 knots of wind, small waves and sunshine. 19 competitors took part with a full round in the Gold and Silver fleets. Andreas Mohr took the Gold fleet and Duncan Knox took the Silver. Round 1 pictures here.

Round 2 was run by Jamie Knox Watersports / Kerry Sail Company in Hell's Gates, Brandon, Co. Kerry with cross-on 15 knots gusting 20 knots of wind and head high sets coming through. Congratulations to Rob Jones for taking the Gold Fleet win and Duncan Knox for winning the Silver again. Round 2 pictures here.

Tomasz Lotocki organised Round 3, bringing back the Magheroarty Classic and run in memory of Mikey Clancy. Congratulations to Timo Mullen for taking 1st place, Rob Jones for 2nd and Alex Dugan 3rd in the Gold Fleet. Unfortunately the Silver Fleet heats could not be finished due to dropping winds resulting in joint 1st place between Tom Firth and Duncan Knox and joined 3rd place between six sailors Pawel Bielinski, David Minton, David Murray, Fin Mellon, Hubert Bielinski and Peter Corrigan. Round 3 pictures here.
