ISA All Ireland Championship

A strong youth contingent are set to take on established sailors at the ISA Senior All Ireland Sailing Championship in Howth Yacht Club this weekend. 16 class representatives will go head to head at Ireland’s most prestigious annual national sailing event, which dates back to 1947, for the title of 2013 Champion and the ISA Helmsman’s Trophy. 


ISA Powerboat Challenge

Congratulations to the 24th Galway Sea Scouts on winning the ISA Powerboat Challenge for a second year. The event took place on Galway Bay and around the Galway Docks last Saturday. Host club Galway City Sailing Club ran a well-orchestrated event on the water and organised an excellent prize giving ceremony in the local Harbour Hotel.

ICRA Conference

The ICRA Annual Conference will take place on November 23rd in the Royal Irish Yacht Club. The agenda will cover topics such us More Sailors - More Sailing and the 2014 Training Proposal before introducing keynote speaker Matt Sheahan who's just back from the America's Cup.

IFDS Worlds Documentary

crew from Attitude TV followed sailors Richard Dodson and David Barnes from the Kiwi Gold Sailing Team as they represented New Zealand at the Cork County Council IFDS Worlds in Kinsale earlier this summer. The 30 minute documentary is now free to view online.

ICRA Boat of the Year

Nominations are now being accepted for the ICRA Boat of the Year 2013.


Irish Moth Open

Howth Yacht Club have announced details of the Moth Irish Open which takes place in the club on the 2nd and 3rd of November. It'll definitely be worth popping out to Howth to watch those Moth sailors and their crazy flying machines.


Commodore's Cup

Plans are now well advanced for the 2014 Cup as the Irish team already have two very competitive boats and the opportunity for a third.


Squib Inland Championship

The Squib fleet had a very strong entry of 29 boats hailing from Belfast Lough, Dublin Bay, Glandore, Howth, Kinsale, Killilea and the home Dromineer fleet.
