European Match Racing Youth Championship

Massive congratulations to Team Ireland, skippered by Philip Bendon from Glandore and crewed by his cousin James as well as Christopher Tiernan and Bruno Van Dyke, on their win at the European Match Racing Youth Championship in Germany last week.


ISA Senior All Ireland Championship

The ISA All Ireland Steering Group have today issued the invitations for the ISA Senior All Ireland Sailing Championship which will take place in Howth Yacht Club from the 25th - 27th of October in the ISA J80s.

Classes had until the 24th of September to nominate. All classes who submitted a nomination received an invitation. Those invited will now have until the 16th of October to accept.

Regional Development Update

Our two Regional Development Officers Ciaran and Gail were busy travelling the country last month visiting over 15 Clubs and Training Centres. In between their desk bound research and report writing the pair work closely with committee members and professional staff offering a large range of services, assistance and advice directly benefitting your local organisations.

Women's Laser Radial World Championship

Providence Team IRL's Annalise Murphy is currently competing at the Laser Radial Worlds in Rizhao, China. Having reached the halfway mark, she's currently just inside the top 20 in 19th overall with a rest day tomorrow to regroup. She'll sail two more qualification races on Saturday followed by two further days of racing in the Final Series.

Coastal Port Search

As part of the legacy from the ISA's Gathering Cruise event earlier this year, we have now made the Coastal Port Search facility available on the ISA website.


ISA Squad Information

The application 
deadline for the ISA's Laser Radial and 4.7 Regional Squad Training has been extended until this Sunday the 6th of October. Read more...

We're also delight to announce that applications are now being accepted for the ISA Topper Squad. Deadline for applications is Wednesday the 9th of October. Read more...

Team Racing National Championships

The Irish Team Racing Association National Team Racing Championships will be sailed out of the Royal St George Yacht Club on the 9th and 10th of November. Entries are being invited from teams of six sailors from Ireland or elsewhere.


Swords Lady Helm Championship

Swords Sailing and Boating Club recently hosted their 5th Annual Lady Helm Championship as part of the ISA's Women on the Water Ireland (WOWI) initiative. Two fleets raced concurrently in Vagos and Topaz.

Tall Ships 

Spirit of Oysterhaven, skippered by Tom O'Leary, crossed the finish line of Leg 1 of the Lycamobile Mediterranean Tall Ships Regatta in Toulon, France in first place in Class C.

Leg 2 commenced in Toulon on Monday with the fleet sailing to La Spezia in Italy.
