Galway Afloat; Galway's Cruising Group will be meeting this weekend with King of the Bay Sailors, a Sailing Triathlon and the Marina Berth Holders in Galway Docks on Saturday the 21st for an end of season get-together.
Weather permitting, the aim is to have a day sail on Saturday. High water is at 7pm.
The GBSC King of the Bay race starts at 2.30pm from Renville and finishes at Kinvara. John Sweeney's Triathlon Challenge group aim to be on their bikes leaving Kinvara late afternoon. They will head for Parkmore where they will join a group of yachts heading across the bay. They will land at Salthill from where they will run / jog / crawl towards the House Hotel while the yachts head for the docks.
Galway Afloat Fleet will raft up at the marina before making their way to the House Hotel at 8pm. There will be finger food (tickets €5 from the bar).
It has been a wonderful sailing season so let's keep the interest going, meet up and exchange stories. Give the crew a call and see if they are up for a day sail before the Dock Party.
