The Gathering Cruise is gaining momentum with entries flying in from. If you are unable to make the cruise itself you can still take part in the festivities including the Kinsale Welcome Gathering Festival Night which takes place in Acton's Hotel on the 24th of July. Tickets are on sale now and open to all.

On Wednesday the 24th of July Kinsale will be abuzz as all of the Gathering cruisers congregate to celebrate in style. Kinsale marks the midway point of the cruise and we intend to mark this occasion.

Upon arrival in Acton's Hotel at 6.30pm, guests will be greeted by Norman Kean and will receive celebration drinks on the lawn. Guests will then be treated to an array of Irish artisan foods including Roast Local West Cork Hog on a Spit, Roast Rosscarbery Black Pudding, Garlic Ted Brown Crab Claws and Smoked Mackerel along with a selection of freshly made salads, accompaniments and desserts.

Dinner will be served from a number of Food Stations that will be positioned around the perimeter of the marquee. Guests will be able to take their plates to the different stalls and will be able to pick and choose from the wide variety of foods on offer.

Tantalise your taste buds with a sneak peek of the delicious menu here.

After dinner a fun awards ceremony will be hosted in honour of the skippers and crew on board each of the cruising boats and legendary adventurer Jarlath Cunnane will be on hand to tell a tale or two of his adventures on-board Northabout.

After all this eating and drinking you can then kick off your shoes and dance the night away to the traditional Irish music that the live band will be performing.

This is certainly a night not to be missed so email communications@sailing.ie today to secure your place at The Gathering Cruise Kinsale Festival Night.
