The ISA is delighted to have partnered with Action Breast Cancer for a new Women on the Water Ireland (WOWI) initiative. Over 2,000 women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Ireland each year. In 2013 WOWI aims to get 2,013 women on the water in aid of Action Breast Cancer whilst raising over €20,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.
Lough Ree Yacht Club were the first to donate having run their event on the 19th of May raising a superb €322 which has been added to the WOWI My Chairty page.
How can you get involved?
- Bring a female friend out on the water for a donation of €10.
- Organise ladies regatta or run a taster session for a donation of €10.
- Schedule ladies only courses or run a taster session during an open day with €10 being donated.
The ISA has set up a donation page on My Charity www.mycharity.ie/event/wowi
where all funds can be deposited and traced without difficulty.
Alternatively a bank giro can be ordered from the Irish Cancer Society. For more information on how to do this please email me at email@example.com
