Sail Spree 

As the May Bank Holiday approaches ISA Clubs and Training Centres from Donegal to Kerry and Dublin to Galway have joined forces for Sail Spree to offer a unique host of activities for children, teenagers and adults alike.

ISA Class Association Coaching

Exciting news...The ISA Board has agreed to set aside a fund to support professional coaching activities for ISA affiliated classes other than Olympic and Pathway classes. 

Expressions of Interest should be submitted with brief details of the class coaching programme to no later than Thursday, May 30th.

ISAF World Cup Hyeres

Annalise Murphy and James Espey are currently competing at the ISAF Sailing World Cup in Hyères, France, marking the final World Cup regatta of the 2012-2013 Sailing Series.

€181,000 For Gathering Sports Events

The ISA made funding submissions for a number of sailing events under the Sports Council backed Gathering Sporting Events.

We're delighted to announce that both the IFDS World Championships and the Laser European Championships were among only seven events selected to be part of the Gathering and receiving grants totalling €181,000.


MYC Appoint Sailing Development Manager

Malahide Yacht Club has appointed Brian McDowell as Sailing Development Manager, a newly created position which will be a critical element of an ambitious development strategy for the club to make sailing more accessible to the public, better utilise its modern Dinghy Sailing Centre facilities at the Broadmeadows, provide more sail training courses and further encourage membership growth.


British Open Team Racing Championship

Teams from the Royal St George, Royal Cork, Howth and Schull Community College are amongst the 34 teams entered.


Les Glenans Launch

The 2013 brochure for Les Glenans Training Centres was launched by Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport Leo Varadkar at the National Yacht Club in Dun Laoghaire.


Lighting The Munster Blackwater River

In a first for Ireland the Munster Blackwater River is to light up on the 21st of June, just in time for The Gathering Cruise visitors. This unique event is hoped to attract hundreds of overseas visitors to the river valley, generating much needed revenue for the local economy.
