Following the huge success of last year’s event, Lough Derg Yacht Club have decided to run the Dromineer 24 Hour Race again this year on the 18th and 19th of June.

The race is open to all boats, dinghies and keelboats. Dinghies race in Dromineer Bay and sail through Goose Island. Keelboats sail mainly outside the Corrikeen Islands but have their lap-time line in the bay. No limit on team member numbers.

LDYC suggest between 6 and 9 team members working in 3 hour shifts. All boats must have change-overs. Change-overs for keelboats will take place at the hammer head in the public harbour which will be reserved for the event.

As well as the overall 24 hour race, the 24 hours are split up into 5 separate races with individual prizes for dinghies and keelboats.

Food and live entertainment throughout the night. Event Dinner on Saturday night, all welcome, sailors and non-sailors.

Entry fee is the same as last year, €95 per team.

Get your entry forms in ASAP.

LDYC look forward to seeing you at this exciting and unique event!
