The Ruffian National Championships will take place from the 21st - 23rd of June. This year’s event will be hosted by the Dun Laoghaire Motor Yacht Club.

This event attracts Ruffian 23’s both north and south of the border for a series of 7 races over 3 days.

The Ruffian 23 is a great one design racing boat which celebrates it 40th Anniversary this year. The boat is still raced competitively in Dun Laoghaire, Wicklow, Skerries, Baltimore, Carrickfergus, Strangford Lough, around the Clyde, the Isle of Man, and even as far a field as Hong Kong and Uruguay.

As part of the Ruffian 23 calendar a North vs South Team Challenge will take place in Carrickfergus Sailing Club
in which Ruffian crews from both sides of the border compete against one another.
