Dinghy Sailing Forum Minutes

On Saturday the 23rd of March the ISA held a Dinghy Sailing Forum in the National Yacht Club to discuss the future of dinghy sailing in Ireland.

The meeting was well attended with over 100 delegates. The ISA was very appreciative of all the contributions made throughout the four hour meeting which proved to be a very worthwhile and constructive discussion.

Last year we launched Sail Spree and an estimated 3,132 participants attended activities in ISA clubs and centres all over the county.

We want this year to be even bigger and better so we need you to tell us what activities your organisation has planned for Sail Spree 2013.

Energy Fit Pilot Programme For Clubs

It is estimated that clubs could save up to €3,000 a year through energy efficiency!

The Federation of Irish Sport has teamed up with Future Fit in a programme sponsored by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland which is designed to increase energy efficiency of sports clubs thereby reducing operating costs.

The programme entitled “Energy Fit” is being run on a pilot basis initially and is entirely FREE for eligible clubs.

RNLI Mayday Appeal

Give it some welly for the RNLI Mayday Appeal and help Irish lifeboats!

RS200, RS400 & RSFeva Circuit

The RSFeva Association has confirmed it will join the RS200 & RS400 fleets on the 2013 Irish RS Circuit. An unofficial ‘RS Pathway’ has in recent years helped retain Greystones youth sailors and come to embody the ISA ‘Sport for Life’ motto.
