Last year the ISA launched a new participation initiative ‘Sail Spree
’ which took place over the weekend of 23/24 June. 60 ISA Clubs and Training Centres partook and an estimated 2,604 participants attended Taster Sessions nationwide. A further 528 attended the event for the on-shore entertainment and activities creating a total of 3,132 overall participants.
We announced in September 2012 that this year’s event will run over the May Bank Holiday weekend; 4th - 6th May 2013. We are now only 5 weeks away from Sail Spree 2013 so we need you to tell us what activities your organisations have planned. Once we have this information we can begin to promote the event through the website www.SailSpree.ie
and through a national and regional PR campaign.
What to do next:
Simply answer the very short questionnaire online here
and we will populate your organisation’s personal webpage on the Sail Spree website.
FREE – 10 Sail Spree Posters
Once you have successfully completed the online questionnaire we will post out 10 x A4 Sail Spree posters to your organisation which you can use to promote your event in your local area. We will also email you A4 and A3 PDF versions of the poster which you can use to print additional copies if you wish.
The ISA will run a full national and regional PR campaign. However we encourage all organisations to implement their own PR campaign for their local area. We have published a PR Toolkit available online here
. The toolkit will provide you with all the information you need to contact your local media and promote your event to your local community. We have also published a full media list online here
sorted by county for both print and broadcast.
