During recent discussions relating to the forum being held in the National Yacht Club on Saturday the 23rd of March to discuss future of small boat sailing and youth training, there have been requests for clarity on both attendance figures at National Championships and of ISA training course participation in recent years.

We have compiled the data we have and have asked the classes to verify the figures. We recognise there are gaps, however hopefully it will give a reasonable impression of some numbers.

The figures for the ISA Small Boat Sailing Scheme are confined to sailing certificates distributed through ISA Training Centres. They do not include certificates for other schemes (powerboating, windsurfing etc.) or present any indication of numbers attending non-certified training / coaching activity.
