At the ISA AGM on Saturday the 2nd of March, Alan Crosbie retired from the ISA Board of Directors following seven years of dedication to the sport and the ISA.

ISA President Niamh McCutcheon had this to say to Alan before he was presented with a small token of the ISA's gratitude for his contribution.

"Anyone who has ever met Alan Crosbie will agree that he has been a wonderful ambassador for the ISA during his seven year term as a Director.

He was part of a ISA Race Management Advisory Group as an International Race Officer. There his role was to assist in the development and implementation of the ISA Race Officials Training Programme.

He is the patron of the Irish Disabled Sailing Association. He has been a driving force behind the continued development in disabled sailing. He is also the PRO for the IFDS World Championships taking place in Kinsale this July.

He had been a member of the Olympic Steering Group for the past two Olympic cycles. There he has overseen the development of the performance plan. His contribution has led to the success we now see across Irish performance sailing.

All in all, a very accomplished gentleman whose wise counsel we will miss on the ISA Board."
