The ISA is seeking a PR intern to train with ISA Communications Officer Rachel Solon. The intern will gain practical experience working in the communications department for the National Governing Body of sailing, powerboating and windsurfing.

On completion the intern will have attained skills in media management, PR, event management and online and social media. The intern will receive considerable training in sports PR and will have developed the skills to apply for jobs in Marketing/PR after the internship.

The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following:
  • Writing and implementing PR strategies
  • Media management 
  • Press release writing
  • Event management
  • Website management
  • Social media management

Skills Requirements
The ideal candidate is a PR, journalism, marketing or digital graduate who is capable of working on their own initiative as well as part of a team, can meet deadlines and is hard working. The individual must have strong administration and organisational skills and a knowledge and interest in watersports will be an advantage. 

The position will be available for a six month period. There is no remuneration with the position. An allowance may be paid to cover incidental expenses.
