ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards

Ben Ainslie and Lijia Xu were named the male and female winners of the 2012 ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards at a ceremony held at the Mansion House in Dublin on Tuesday night.

Regional Meetings for Clubs & Centres
The ISA will begin a nationwide road trip next week hosting five meetings in locations around the country which are open to representatives from all ISA affiliated organisations.
The ISA CEO, Training Manager, Racing Manager and Regional Development Officers would like the opportunity to meet with representatives to discuss how the ISA can improve its support and services, identify any specific issues that your organisation is experiencing and provide an update on some of the initiatives planned for 2013.

Student Yachting World Cup
10 Irish students from UCD have won the most prestigious annual international student sailing championship; the Student Yachting World Cup in La Rochelle, France.
The Irish team claimed victory by the largest margin ever recorded by an Irish team competing throughout the 32 year history of the event. Congratulations to Aidan McLaverty, Barry McCartin, Theo Murphy, Cathal Leigh Doyle, Simon Doran, Alyson Rumball, Bella Morehead, David Fitzgerald, Ben Fusco and Ellen Cahill.

ISA Volunteer of the Year 2012
The deadline for nominations for this prestigious accolade is next Monday the 12th of November at 5pm.
The winner will be announced at the ISA 7th Annual Awards Ball which will take place on Saturday the 2nd of March 2013 in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire.

Ryan Seaton Hangs Up His Wetsuit?

The London 2012 Olympic sailor will be hanging up his wetsuit...but only for one night as he straps on a pair of boxing gloves all in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Ryan will be taking part in a white collar boxing event tonight in Belfast to raise money for the worthy cause.
