With the Olympics only a matter of days away, we want you to show your support for the Providence Resources Irish Olympic Sailors and the rest of Team Ireland on RTÉ as the athletes go for gold at London 2012. Send your messages to inspire and encourage Ireland’s top athletes as they compete in one of the biggest sporting events of their lives.
The London 2012 Olympic Games will see the most diverse Irish team in Olympic history, with 14 sports represented as Irish athletes compete in sailing as well as athletics, badminton, boxing, canoeing, cycling, equestrian, gymnastics, judo, modern pentathlon, rowing, shooting, swimming and triathlon. RTE are asking everyone to get involved and show Ireland’s athletes that the nation is behind them. Up to 2,300 hours of coverage of the 2012 London Olympics will be available to access on RTÉ across RTÉ Television, RTÉ Radio and RTÉ Digital.
So send them photos of you supporting the Sailors and Team Ireland - holding a sign or a message for the team or your favourite Olympic sailor; email a short video message; or tweet @RTELondon2012
. Your message could be included in RTÉ Sport’s television coverage of the London 2012 Opening Ceremony on July 27th.
