The RNLI will be hosting two exciting fundraising events at Cork Week 2012 in the Royal Cork Yacht Club.  The charity is hoping that people attending the popular maritime week will come along to support the lifeboat crews by attending the planned events and raising funds for saving lives at sea.

A Black Tie Dinner will be held at the Royal Cork Yacht Club on Saturday 7 July.  Guests will be treated to a four course meal and drinks reception.  MC on the night will be popular Marine Correspondent Tom MacSweeney and there will also be a special guest. There are a limited number of 100 tickets available, which are priced at a competitive €75 for an individual or €650 for tables of ten.

Following on from the glamour of the black tie dinner, the RNLI will hold a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on Tuesday 10 July from 2pm to 4pm again at the Royal Cork Yacht Club. Guests will enjoy Afternoon Tea and must wear a hat. Stylish and wacky hats are most welcome, especially homemade creations. Prizes will be awarded to the best hat, the wackiest hat, the most stylish hat and much more.  Tickets are priced at €20.

Tickets for both events can be purchased from the RNLI by calling Eileen tel: 021 4823414 or emailing
