Coleraine Yacht Club launched the River Ridge Recycling 24 Hour Dinghy Race on Saturday 21st April. The race is being held on The River Bann over the weekend 15t 16th and17th June 2012.
The launch was attended by press sponsors and local dignitaries as well as many past commodores. A fun race was held on the river after the lunch and a Jazz Quintet played for the afternoon

The Race ran continuously from 1969 until having to be abandoned in 2001 because of the Foot and Mouth epidemic.
In this, the 50th Anniversary of the Club, it is being revived.

There will be classes for Lasers Toppers Scorpions GPs 420s as well as Masters Juniors Ladies and a Previous Entrants class for those teams who have fond memories of competing in this fun weekend of good racing
There will be a tented village shops food areas and bars for the duration of the race. A large area will accommodate caravans and another grass area for tents so we can accommodate teams, families and friends.
Entry forms and NOR S have been sent to every club but you can download them from the 24 Hour Race website here

The Club have already received a number of entries.
