ISA Olympic Team Update

Two of the ISA's three Olympic teams are currently competing at Hyeres in what has been less than ideal conditions. Follow the progress of Peter O'Leary & David Burrows in the Star and Ryan Seaton & Matt McGovern in the 49er on the ISA Olympic Facebook page www.facebook.com/ISAOlympic and Twitter www.twitter.com/ISAOlympic.

Before they left Peter & David took part in the Electric Ireland 'Get Energised Challenge' where six lucky prize winners participated to an interactive session with the Olympic athletes. See the video here.

Tomorrow night (Friday the 27th at 10.30pm) Seascapes on RTE Radio 1 will feature interviews with both Annalise Murphy and with David Burrows. If you miss the show you can always listen to the podcast online here.

ISA Youth Nationals Video Highlights

Cube Images were filming both on the water and shorebased footage throughout the ISA Mitsubishi Youth Nationals. They got some brilliant racing footage and interviewed both sailors and coaches for their thoughts on the event. Definitely worth a watch!

European Team Racing

Recent and not so recent graduates who miss the sporting and social joys of their college team racing days can now continue to team race at the highest level as a European keel-boat team racing circuit is emerging.

International events are being organised this year in Italy, the Netherlands and the UK with other events planned.

Congratulations to UCD

UCD 1 recently took home the bronze from the British University Sailing Association Team Racing Championship which took place in West Kirby Sailing Club, Liverpool.

UCD 1 Team:
Simon Doran & Aoife Cooney, Barry McCartin & Eimear McIvor, Aidan McLaverty & Bella Morehead.

Try an Elite Day

Have you ever wanted to try sailing in an RS Elite? Well come to Dun Laoghaire on Friday the 18th of May and you can.
