The Irish Sports Summit will take place on the 25th of May, in Ballincollig Co.Cork, and the stellar line up of speakers will focus on ways to deliver sustainability and growth throughout the sporting environment on the island of Ireland.
The inaugural event will focus on the impact the worsening economic picture is having on the Irish sporting environment and look at ways of addressing the issues through co-operation and innovation.
The Summit aims to attract delegates from every facet of Irish sport, including amateur and professional athletes and clubs, National Governing Bodies (NGB), policy makers, sponsors, businesses, media, and health.
Featuring a stellar line up of Panellists, from throughout the sporting world, the Summit will identify key areas of concern and challenges, before moving on to opportunities and reasons for optimism in the years to come.
From identifying traps and innovative fundraising opportunities for Clubs and Associations, to exploring sporting trends and best practice operations for national organisations and industry, the Irish Sports Summit aims to draw all assembled out of the box towards 'Big Idea' thinking.
Mr. Patrick J. Gallagher, who is credited with being one of the most creative marketing and business minds in professional sport, will deliver the keynote speech.
