The Royal St. George Yacht Club is hosting an ISA Race Officer Level One training course over two Thursday evenings on the 8th and 15th of March.
The ISA Race Officer Level One is the starter training course. It is suited to those with a little or no previous race management training with perhaps some experience at either helping out with the local race team or even running small races for their club. It is also ideal for those on clubs race committee roster.
The course covers the basics of race management and is one of the requirements for appointment as an Race Officer.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance. The course is open to members of any club who may be interested in learning more about race management.
The ISA recognises three categories of Race Officer; National Race Officer (NRO), Regional Race Officer (RRO) and Local Race Officer (LRO). The highest recognition is the ISAF qualification of "International Race Officer".
