The ISA has qualified Tutors available to deliver the Irish Sport Council 3 hour Basic Awareness course to your members or staff.
As the tutors are experienced in the watersports industry they have a full understanding and appreciation of our sports. The course provides information on:
• Codes of Conduct
• Bullying and different forms of abuse
• Recruitment of Staff / Volunteers including Garda Vetting
• Child protection guidelines and resources
• Dealing with issues internally and with statutory authorities
By following the principles, policy and practical guidelines contained in the Code, participants are playing their part in providing a safe and enjoyable environment in which children can learn and thrive.
This course is suitable for:
• Junior Organisers and Junior Committee Members
• Instructors, Coaches and Managers
• Parents, Volunteers and Staff members

• Galway Bay Sailing Club, 15th Feb from 6.30pm – 9.30pm
• Royal Cork Yacht Club, 22nd Feb from 6.30pm – 9.30pm
• Royal St. George Yacht Club, 23rd Feb from 6.30pm – 9.30pm
