An increase in the number of ISA National Squads combined with increases in club coaching, Go Racing 2 and higher levels of coaching activity in the ISA Performance Pathway has led to the requirement for standardised coaching practice in Ireland.
A formalised coaching qualification has become more of a necessity for coaches wishing to work with clubs and squads. For individuals that have taken this course it has compounded their sailing knowledge and given them the tools to deliver their experience to the sailors that they are coaching.
