The ISA is re-developing the communications function within the organisation and has engaged Fiona Bolger who has previously worked on many major international yachting events including TP52 Med Cup, Volvo Ocean Race and Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. To assist in this work we are recruiting two interns to train with Fiona and ISA Communications Officer Rachel Solon. 

The ideal candidates are PR, journalism, marketing or digital graduates who are self starters and have a knowledge and interest in watersports. 

Internship positions are as follows:

Press Officer Intern
Training will include:
Management of media and stakeholder databases
Photo gallery management
Preparation of draft releases
Syndication of releases and photographs
Assisting with press briefings/events
Assisting with design and manufacture of print collateral
Assisting with presentation development

Website & Social Media Intern
Training will include:
Updating website
Video & photo gallery online resources
Integrating social media Facebook, Linkedin, You Tube, Twitter, Flickr
The interns will receive considerable training in sports PR and will have developed the skills to apply for jobs in Marketing/PR after the internship. Fiona Bolger has managed two previous internship programmes for the Galway Volvo Ocean Race and Cork Clipper Round the World Yacht Race with high job placement levels achieved.
There is no remuneration with these positions. An allowance may be paid to cover incidental expenses.
