About us:
The Oysterhaven Centre is a leading centre for Sailing and Windsurfing, providing both Beginner & Advanced Instruction for Adults and Sailing and Windsurfing summer camps for kids. Oysterhaven’s sheltered bays, access to open water, friendly instruction and a wide range of sailing dinghies and windsurf boards provide the ideal environment for learning to sail. We offer Get Up and Go, A Taste of Sailing and Start Sailing courses for adults on Saturdays and Tuesday & Thursday evenings from May to August. Youth Sailing & Windsurfing Courses run Monday - Friday weekly from 18th June - 31st August.

Take the main Kinsale Road from Cork ( R600). Follow the signs for Cork Airport. In the village of Belgooly ( 20km) turn left at The Huntsman Pub from where Oysterhaven is clearly signposted. The journey is approximately 30 minutes from Cork.

  • I have been sailing since I was 9 years old and started in ULAC near killaloe. I passed my first 3 levels in ULAC, before completing both the 4 racing level and the new go racing 2 module, before becoming an instructor. My racing career has been in Mirrors, which I began to race in 2007. In 2009 I attended the Worlds in Pwhelli, Wales, in 2010 I attended the Europeans in Sligo, Ireland and in 2011 I attended the Worlds in Albany, Australia. In the 2010 Euros, I won race 7 and finished 8th overall in the fleet. In the 2011 Worlds I came 2nd in the silver fleet, 4th in the youth and 24th overall. My Irish circut record consists of a large number of top 3 finishs, which includes this years win at the Irish Nationals in LDYC, sailed in extremly light conditions.

Inspectors Summary:
Oysterhaven looking fantastic in glorious sunshine. Busy as usual with rentals and other activities on the water. The Panel were hard at it, practicing for their Dinghy pre-entry assessment. Well Done!!
