One of Ireland's best-kept secrets is that it has some of the best cruising grounds in Europe. Facilities for visiting yachts have improved dramatically in recent years, and there is now a comprehensive network of marinas and public moorings.
The ISA is committed to assist with the development and promotion of cruising activities for those involved with sail and motor cruising and are constantly updating the links and information contained within this section of our site.
Information for boat owners on all aspects of owning, buying or selling etc, can be found by clicking here.

ISA now issues the International Certificates for Operators of Pleasure Craft, commonly known as the International Certificate of Competency or ICC.
The certificate, issued on behalf of the Irish Government and according to criteria laid down by the United Nations, is of use to Irish nationals and residents wishing to use their own or chartered boats outside of Ireland in one the many countries that require some form of certificate of competency from people using pleasure boats.
