In the past the isa have run revalidation days. These were great for networking, but lacked the information for instructors. To keep instructors skills fresh and the sport funky, different ways of teaching this fantastic , fun sport should be shared, using new technology and new techniques .it should be called instructor training day .

.the pre-entry and the revalidation should be different with the emphasis of the latter on improving existing skills and knowledge base.it should be 1/2 day water based 1/2 day land based .

There are many many ex- instructors ,S.Is  in Ireland . training events could be organized for the ex- instructor who wants to return to work in this area .these newly trained instructors can then teach certain modules from the isa syllabus. This group need a different name as they are not full isa instructors and they the  follow up training should also be different .
