The ISA is excited to announce details of this year’s ISA Powerboat Challenge. In 2013 the competition will see the return of combined teams consisting of both adults and juniors and all tasks will be water based using the ISA National Powerboat and Safety Boat syllabus content.
There will be two Regional Finals where the top five teams from each Regional Final will go through to the National Final. Dates and venues are as follows:
- Northern Regional Final, Lough Ree Yacht Club - Saturday 21st September at 11.00am
- Southern Regional Final, Royal Cork Yacht Club - Saturday 28th September at 11.00am
- National Final, Royal St George Yacht Club - Saturday 19th October at 11.00am
Each team will consist of four competitors and one Team Manager. Each team must have at least one female member.
Two competitors must be no younger than 12 years of age and no older than 15 years of age. These two competitors should have had their 12th birthday before entering the competition and must not have had their 16th birthday before the Regional Final on 21st of September 2013.
The other two competitors must be 16 years or over on entering the competition.
Proof of age may be requested in the form of a birth certificate or passport by the organisers at any time throughout the competition.
Each team must be nominated and entered by either the Club Commodore or Centre Principal of an ISA affiliated Club or Training Centre.
Each team must complete the application form with parental consent forms for the two or more juniors and return to the ISA. The forms and the entry fee of €25 per team and must be received by the ISA no later than 13th of September 2013.
