What do we do and how can we help you
  • Sail Spree, a national ‘get on the water initiative’ will take place over the May Bank Holiday weekend 2013.
  • Women on the Water Ireland (WOWI) an initiative to increase the numbers of females participating in sailing, windsurfing and powerboating. In 2013 WOWI aims to get 2,013 women sailing in aid of Action Breast Cancer while raising over €20,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.
  • The Gathering Cruise will be a cruise in company from Dublin to Dingle in July 2013 and will create a coastal infrastructure facilities web resource.
  • The ISA SailFleet Dinghies will be available for charter in 2013 to all ISA affiliated organisations.
  • The ISA work closely with the Irish Disabled Sailing Association (IDSA) and can provide advice on how to make your organisation more accessible to those with differing disabilities.
  • The ISA have 2 full-time Regional Development Officers (RDOs) to support the development of your organisation. RDOs are available to visit your organisation in 2013 and support your committee. Call us to arrange a visit. 
  • The ISA RDOs engage with local authorities, local sports partnerships and other authorities on behalf of all ISA affiliated organisations.
  • The ISA RDO’s primary role is to help grow membership and support the development of all ISA affiliated organisations.
  • The ISA Powerboat Challenge 2013 invites ISA affiliated organisations to participate in a powerboat skills competition whilst encouraging the organisations to train both their junior and adult members in safety boat techniques. 
  • The ISA RDOs will assist ISA affiliated organisations in the introduction of schools sailing programmes.
  • The ISA provides support with development plans, policy and procedures, safety statements and code of ethics for ISA affiliated organisations.
